Garlic Butter Lemon Salmon

  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lemon, zested and juiced
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season salmon with salt and pepper.
  3. Place salmon fillets skin-side up in the skillet and sear for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Flip the fillets and add butter, garlic, lemon zest, and lemon juice to the skillet.
  5. Spoon the melted garlic butter over the salmon and transfer the skillet to the oven.
  6. Bake for 8-10 minutes until salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
