Crispy baked carrot fries glazed with a touch of natural maple syrup, offering a sweet and savory twist on a healthy snack or side dish.

  • 4 large carrots, peeled and cut into fries
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine olive oil, maple syrup, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Toss the carrot fries in the mixture until evenly coated.
  4. Arrange the carrot fries in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until fries are crisp and golden.
  6. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For extra crispiness, soak the carrot fries in cold water for 30 minutes before cooking and pat dry thoroughly.
