Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Place chicken thighs skin side down and sear for 5-7 minutes until skin is golden and crispy.
  5. Flip the chicken thighs and pour the honey garlic sauce over them.
  6. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and the sauce thickens.
  7. Baste the chicken with the sauce halfway through cooking for extra stickiness.
  8. Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes.
  9. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
